An automation rule is a specific action algorithm that runs automatically when a task enters a specific phase.
Task automation rules automate your workflow and help increase project and task efficiency.

Set automation rules and Bitrix24 will automatically send notifications, change responsible persons, change dates, etc.

HOW TO CONFIGURE TASK AUTOMATION RULES

As an example, we create an automation rule that informs the responsible person in Activity Stream that the task is almost deadline.

Create a special phase / stage for project tasks.

Click on Automation rules> Configure automation rules. Only the workgroup owner can configure the task automation rules in the workgroup.

Add Almost overdue trigger to move the task to the created phase / stage automatically when it is almost after the deadline.
Trigger is a specific action that automatically changes the phase / stage of a task. After running the trigger, the task moves to the desired stage and activates the appropriate automation rules.
Triggers
  • Status changed - As soon as the task status changes to the specified status (eg "In Progress"), this trigger moves it to the required phase / stage.
  • Almost overdue - trigger is activated 24 hours before the specified deadline for an unfinished task.
  • Overdue - the trigger is activated after the deadline expiratio

Add the desired automation rule for the selected phase / stage. As an example, we choose an employee rule Add message to Activity Stream.

Once the task reaches the "Almost overdue" stage, the responsible person receives the message in Activity Stream.
